#12 Zaira

Letter number twelve comes from Zaira.  Her letter is very creative, having the letter be the same piece of card-stock or such as the envelope! What a cute envelope as well.  Now, I met Zaira on her youtube channel WeAreGoingToVidCon prior to VidCon 2011.  She ended up not going to VidCon so I have yet to actually meet her in person.  Hopefully that can change soon, as Zaira is a very cool person.  The lama drawing is a nice touch, by the way. ;)

Dianna has always been great about doing the video challenges on the back of each '100 Letters' letter I send.  I'm really looking forward to her completing this one.  No spoilers, loyal readers, you'll just have to keep an eye on the video responces. ;)

I wonder if Dianna will reply to this letter... She probably will, and I'm down to one more letter in my pile.  I wonder if I'll ever be caught up on my blog posts about letters AND my responding to letters at the same time.  That would be cool! However, that would also mean I need to get more people to send me letters.  I'm only slightly one tenth of the way to 100.

#11 Dianna

Well, it's official, Dianna is winning the 'sending me the most letters' race. XD  It's funny cause she's my cousin and therefore I know her the best out of all of my pen pals.  She needs not send me so many, but I do love it!

International PenPals. #10

I sent my letter back to Tessanie recently and her letter was the lucky letter that got the cover art of my design letter sheets book.  I really love this artwork actually, most of the art in this book I find creepy but not this one.



I'm so glad to be writing to Tessanie knowing that in a few short weeks I will be hanging out with her in person at VidCon.  Having overseas penpals that you know you will get to visit with in person is a very cool thing.

#10 Tessine

It's a bit hard to see, but on this lovely letter is a drawing of Ariel from The Little Mermaid.  It's so pretty!  Tessine has sent me this letter from France even though she herself is German.  I've been friends with Tessine on YouTube for quite some time and I got to meet her in person at last years VidCon.  She has included two great photographs for me as well.  Thank yo so much for your letter, Tessine!

Now, to address the letters in my pile yet unopened.  I received two comments yesterday from two of the three letter senders in that pile inquiring that they had not received their letters yet.  For that I am guilty.  For future reference, if you send me a letter and do not see a response or your letter in this blog right away, you can ask me what number yours is so you have some idea when I'll get to it.

Raw Writing. #9

Here is my second letter to Grace. It's on a 'Lovely White' page with a plaid border giving it a sophisticated preppy look.  'White' is a little praying angel that makes me think of 'Precious Moments' (if any of you know what that is).  The interesting thing about this letter is that it was sent a significant amount of time after the letter from Grace was sent.  It was months before I even opened her letter and read it.  I admit that making people wait is not ideal, but knowing I currently have three unopened letters waiting for me is a but exciting as well.

I've noticed that I tend to write in the same style as the letter I receive, answering questions asked and asking a few of my own (despite the fact I don't know if I'll get another response or not).  It's fun to keep writing and not have the ability to censer myself through computer editing.  It gives the letter a very raw feeling which is lost in emails and even blog posts.

#9 Grace

Grace and Dianna are neck and neck now, both with 2 letters! Grace's second letter was extra cute with cute little cartoon animals and lots of color.  It's nice having a pen pal with so much in common, despite our location and age difference.  I enjoy hearing about her life and I will tell her about mine in my return letter.  Sometimes something as simple as the color of a letter and the ink can brighten my mood.  I look forward to more possible letters from Grace.
